Can Burguès is a Masia, the name give to the traditional and distinctive Catalan style country farm-house. Can Burguès dating back to the 13th century, to this day has always been handed-down from father to son remaining in the family. Most probably its beginning was no more than a small construction and it has grown according to the needs of the moment. Today still retaining its original structure and rustic style forged by the passing of the years, the house has acquired an enriched character and has become a point of important historical referenc with-in both the village and the County.

Situated at about 160 metres above sea level, Can Burguès has been humble witness to the passing of time and folk for almost 8 centuries working the fields and forests, keeping stock and watching over flocks and herds.
